SHIPPING & RETURNS
Thank you for trusting Sunny Sailor to protect you and your family from the sun. We strive to provide you with high-quality products. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, we want to ensure that the return process is as clear and straightforward as possible.
General Return Policy
At Sunny Sailor, we take pride in the quality and safety of our products. To ensure your satisfaction, we offer a return policy under the following conditions:
- Completely Unopened and Unused Products: If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return the product for a full refund or exchange, provided the product is in its original, unopened, and unused condition. Returns must be made within 10 days of the date you receive the product.
- Opened or Tampered Products: We are unable to accept returns or exchanges for products that have been opened, used, or tampered with in any way. This policy is in place to ensure the health and safety of our customers, as once a product is opened or altered, it cannot be resold.
How to Initiate a Return
To return a product, please follow these steps:
- Contact Us: Reach out to our customer support team at ahoy@sunnysailor.com or within 10 days or less of receiving your order. Please include your order number, the product you wish to return, and a brief explanation of the reason for the return.
- Return Authorization: Once we have reviewed your request and determined that the product is eligible for return (i.e., unopened and unused), we will issue you a Return Authorization Number and provide you with return instructions.
- Packaging Your Return: Please ensure that the product is securely packaged in its original packaging.
- Return Shipping: You will be responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the return is due to a mistake on our part (e.g., wrong product shipped or damaged product). We recommend using a trackable shipping service for returns, as we are not responsible for lost or damaged returns.
Refunds and Exchanges
- Refunds: Once we receive the returned item, we will process your refund to the original payment method. Please note that it may take up to 7–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or payment provider.
- Exchanges: If you would prefer an exchange, please specify the product you would like to receive in your return request. We will ship the exchanged item to you once the returned product is processed and inspected.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return:
- Opened or used products.
- Products that have been tampered with or damaged after delivery.
- Products purchased more than 30 days ago.
- Sale or clearance items.
Damaged or Defective Items
If your order arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of receipt of your order. We will work with you to resolve the issue and may offer a refund, replacement, or store credit, depending on the circumstances. Please retain all original packaging and send photos of the damaged or defective item when contacting us.
International Returns
If you are returning a product from outside the United States, please be aware that international return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Additionally, customs duties and taxes are non-refundable.
Do you ship to PO boxes?
We ship to PO boxes, military APO, FPO and DPO destinations. Please select the PO Box checkbox in the Address section during checkout. We currently cannot ship to international PO Boxes.
Are taxes and duties included in my International Order total?
Deliveries to Canada and to some countries are shipped on a DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) basis, which means you will not have to pay these fees separately when your order arrives. Duties and taxes are calculated based on the items ordered, your shipment destination and the value of your purchase, and are added to your order total in the shopping cart. Duties and taxes are nonrefundable.
This charge is determined by your local customs authority and includes:
- The Sales Tax applied by your country for purchases from the U.S. and
Duties charged for processing by your country.
